The “Grow & Develop Young Minds” project focuses on empowering children aged 5 to 16 at the DSES School in Balia, Uttar Pradesh has been an ongoing collaborative effort with Dr. Vijay Tiwari, MD FACP, and his charity since 2019.
Dr. Tiwari’s vision to establish a school in Balia for underprivileged children has not only been realised but flourished, leading to the growth of the school which now accommodates over 1,700 students who otherwise would not have access to education. His dedication and own personal financial contributions have been instrumental in transforming the educational landscape in the region.
Our Impact and Contributions
Iron Lady Foundation has to date made a total contribution of $250,000 over the past 5 years and has significantly contributed to the school’s development. The collective efforts of the school community have yielded substantial returns, which highlight the project’s success from a social and economic perspective.
Some of the unique aspects include:
- Students at the DSES School showcase exceptional English proficiency surpassing Tier 1 city standards.
- Senior students actively engage in mentoring their juniors and contribute to enhancing the school curriculum.
- A student-led tree planting initiative promoting environmental responsibility and sustainability.
